Night Sky.

One of my plants that is thriving on this cooler weather and rain.
Last night, I heard a little whining at the back door. I waited a minute and hoped he would go back to sleep, but he persisted. I drug myself out of bed, hunted for a leash, hooked him up, and took him outside.
As soon as I stepped outside, all of my frustration at being awoke in the middle of the night melted away.  The sky was breathtakingly amazing. We have been enduring a tropical storm for days now and to finally, not only see the sky, but see it in all it's starry glory took my breath away. I wanted to lay under the stars for hours, in that unusually cool night that Tropical Storm Lee left us with, in exchange for his wrath.  God took my breath away and I am so thankful that He woke me up to see it.

Before and After.

Before!

After!
Week before last, I got all of my throw pillows washed, perfectly fitted for their pillows, and I finally stuffed the pretty little ruffle pillow for the finishing touch.  Fast forward about 3 days... Travis is mowing the lawn outside for about an hour and left the beast in the house.... alone. And there you have the before and after.

New friends.

While Jackson was out studying with Travis today, he met a new friend. This picture warms my heart! He was so gentle and sweet with the baby.

Sweetness... sometimes

I recently made some throw pillows for my couch.  Jackson seems to have really taken a liking to the one with his sweet silhouette.

Mud pies.

My house will never be clean and I will never be able to have the white slip covered couch that I have dreamed of... but who wouldn't love this face anyways.  I know I do!

The Pup and Pheaz.

This is a face only a mother could love... Well, that's not completely true.  Most people fall in love with Jackson.  He has been such  a wonderful addition to our family.  Although he drives me crazy most of the time, I wouldn't trade him for anything.  He is great company and usually provides us with endless laughter... like the times when he sets his stuffed pheasant on the windowsill while he watches squirrels and just leaves it there for most of the day.  I guess it is a safe spot for a pheasant.  Maybe he is in charge of the squirrel watching while Jackson is off doing other dog-like things... like wiping his muddy jowls all over my bedding or current sewing project or chasing his football around the yard.  I don't know, but I think it's adorable... just like those floppy jowls when he is sleeping.
