So, the three month honeymoon has ended and flight school has begun. This has brought me more free time than I know what to do with. I have learned that when I get bored, I cook and bake... which equals some serious poundage here lately. Apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, homemade applesauce, chicken and dumplings. I am trying to celebrate apple season and the Fall even though it does not exist here.
This morning is better than they have been. I have started working in my studio for the first time in over a year. It feels good, but I am completely at a loss with where to go with my drawings. It seems that my ideas get lost between art school and the decorative. I want to work to find the in-between and see what it looks like.
In other news, Travis passed his weather and swim test this morning. I am so proud of him. We move to Corpus Christi in about five weeks and I am starting to look for jobs and houses there. I am getting excited about the possibilities. Well back to work for now. No more procrastinating!

your husband sounds like a really great guy
ReplyDeletep.s. I love you
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about that whole art thing...the line between art and decoration. That has been me for about three years now. I have done a lot of paintings for peoples homes, nurseries, kids room, etc (which I do love to do) but it doesn't quite fulfill that whole creative need within me. Still working on that one...
ReplyDeleteBut anyway...I am glad everything is going well with you and I love your blog. Congrats on coming back to Texas soon!
